Weights use typical melted densities for the wax you pick. Blends vary — check your supplier's sheet for exact figures.
Pour water to your fill line (leave about 1/2 inch headspace), then weigh it.

Over 12%! Most candle waxes max out around 10-12% fragrance load. Exceeding it causes sweating, poor burn, and weak scent throw. Reduce your target percentage.
Heads up: under 3% fragrance load usually gives weak scent throw. Most makers use 6-10% for a strong-smelling candle.
Wax weights use typical melted densities — soy 0.86, paraffin 0.90, coconut 0.92, beeswax 0.96 g/ml (blends use 0.90 as a typical figure). Fragrance load is measured against wax weight, matching our Fragrance Load Calculator. Milliliter conversions assume a typical fragrance oil density of 0.95 g/ml — check your supplier's spec sheet for exact figures. Always confirm against your wax supplier's maximum fragrance load.
