A reed diffuser is a vessel of scented diffuser base that travels up natural reeds and perfumes the room — no flame or heat needed. Most diffusers use a fragrance load of 15–25% by weight; enter your bottle size and load below to get the exact formula.

Assumption: diffuser base density of 0.88 g/ml. Weighing by scale is more accurate than measuring by volume — always weigh your ingredients.
Reed guidance
- Bottles of 4 fl oz or smaller: use 5–8 reeds
- Bottles of 4–8 fl oz: use 8–10 reeds
- Larger bottles: use 10–12 reeds
Flip your reeds once a week to refresh the scent. Use natural rattan reeds — synthetic reeds do not wick the oil properly.
Safety note: only use fragrance oils rated for reed diffusers and check that your fragrance is compliant with the IFRA standards for your product category.
